Solaz Atrium

Nestled between San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, Solaz Resort is an architectural gem between the desert and the sea. Following an extended closure, the hotel reopened in 2023 with major renovations, including the addition of 21 luxury suites, two wellness suites, and the Mako Beach area.

At the heart of this transformation is the new atrium—an open, luminous space where the organic architecture of Sordo Madaleno blends harmoniously with the art of César López-Negrete and the landscape design of Jerónimo Gabayet.

Our role was to capture the essence of this atrium: its flowing volumes, mineral textures, native vegetation, and the subtle interplay of shadow and light. Each image reveals the poetry of the space—a balance of understated luxury and sensory immersion.
