Overview
“The main building, Éléonore, is named in honor of the founder of the nearby monastery located on Laurier Street. The landscape, designed by Studio B, creates a strong connection and coherence between the new construction and the restored heritage homes, which have been repurposed as part of this development project. The project was carried out in partnership with MDTP Atelier d’architecture Inc.”
“The brick base is composed at its end by a two-story glass lobby, framed by a structural colonnade. This feature enlivens the street and marks the main entrance, which faces Laurier Street. The center of the base is also punctured by a porte-cochère providing access to the secondary entrance. The entire base is carefully treated, with sections recessed to reveal the structural framework, integrating loggias and entrances to the street-facing residences. Finally, the base extends northward, creating a first terrace on the third floor.”
